Meet Louise: Reward Based Dog Trainer in North Yorkshire
Dog Trainer, Pet Sitter and Dog Walker

Meet Louise
This is a picture of me cutting a cake made by one of my client's at her dog's graduation at the end of his adult training course. My classes are designed to be fun but still practical and educational for dog and owner. This cake was to thank me and the other course attendees for a fantastic time.
I have been training dogs for over six years. All the training I do is reward based, using treats, toys and praise to motivate your dog. I trained for several years with a Behaviourist/Veterinary Nurse who ran her own training classes. I began with helping at the classes and caught the training bug!! To extend my experience, I worked for twelve months at a boarding kennels dealing with many different breeds of dog, caring for them and helping them to adjust to kennel life.
These experiences reinforced my desire to work with dogs especially training them. I have completed COAPE training courses and hold OCN accredited certificates for 'Think Dog', 'Talk Dog' and a 'Pet and House Sitter Certificate'. I love what I do and enjoy helping the dogs and their owners to understand each other. My unique approach in adapting methods to suit each dog and owner means that everyone is catered for individually and in the most effective way.
Paws For Louise
I set up Paws For Louise in June 2006. My aim is to provide a friendly, reliable dog walking and pet sitting service to Thornton-le-Dale, Pickering and the surrounding villages. Together with providing effective and rewarding training methods through training classes held at the local village hall in Thornton-le-Dale and providing one-to-one sessions for specific problems, training or behavioural, throughout North Yorkshire. My training courses are three weeks in duration and are designed for any breed of dog using successful, reward based methods to encourage and motivate your dog and create a happy and obedient pet. My training courses range from beginner to advanced and include basic commands, trick training, heelwork, agility and much more. All the training I do adheres to the following code to provide the best service I can for dog and owner.
