Dog Training Courses
Classes held at Thornton-le-Dale Village Hall, Near Pickering

Dog Training Classes
Paws For Louise offers from beginner to advanced training to all breeds of dog. All courses are three weeks in duration using reward based training methods which are up-to-date and successful. Each course has a course booklet written by Louise and updated regularly. An initial supply of treats is provided in week one. There are toys, equipment and helpful advice available at every class. Classes are kept small, around six dogs, so that I can get round to speak to everyone personally and so that there are enough dogs to socialise adequately. Each class lasts around an hour, except puppy classes which consist of forty minutes training and fifteen minutes play and socialisation.

Classes
All classes are held at Thornton-le-Dale Sports Field on Saturdays. The field is a good size with fencing all round. Car Parking is through the first gate on your right when heading towards Thornton Dale Car Park, look out for the Paws For Louise signs. The field is easily accessible, when coming into Thornton Dale on the A170, turn right onto Maltongate (if coming from Pickering) and head for the main car park as it is situated on the right hand side, off the road to the Car Park.
Reward Based Training
Dogs learn faster and more effectively when rewarded for a correct behaviour. Treats, toys and praise all motivate your dog to learn and more importantly to remember what he/she has been taught. Reward based training is fun and easy to do. It is not just rewarding for your dog but for you too, as you will be using kind, effective and up to date methods. Happy training means happy dogs and owners!!
